Christopher Baron (1941 - 2023) grew up in Birkdale, Lancashire and loved reading from a young age. After leaving school, he took a position with the National Westminster Bank. His love of books led him to buy and sell books initially as a hobby from the late 1960’s. In 1985 due to job relocation from Natwest Bank, he moved to Hale, outside Altrincham in Greater Manchester. In 1991 he took early retirement and dedicated more time to dealing and collecting. He was a regular attendee at bookfairs across the country, often joined at larger fairs by his wife Sheena (1953-2002). Christopher had an eclectic interest in many subjects including Dylan Thomas, games and magic books and Terry Pratchett, to name but a few. He gained a great deal of joy from his books and from supporting customers to find what they were looking for. He continued to work right up until his death in 2023. His collection is a wonderful combination of stock for book fairs as well as personal treasures and favourites.
