AMERICAN INTEREST; a large Edwardian mahogany musical longcase clock, the arched dial with strike silent and chime silent subsidiary dials, rolling moon phase and Arabic numerals, the Winterhalder & Hofmeier movement with Westminster and Whittington chimes, retailed by J. E. Caldwell & Co, and with glazed door showing the three brass weights and pendulum to a plinth base and paw feet, height 253cm.

Provenance:

The pendulum is inscribed 'Johnanna and Horace Bullock from Sara and Benjamin Bullock Jr. 1908'. This relates to the Mayor of Pennsylvania who purchased the clock for the marriage of his son in 1908. Unfortunately his son was killed in the Great War.

Strikes on rods. 3 orginal brass weights and pendulum present. No chrome tubes
