Three early 19th century novelty salt glazed Reform spirit flasks including an example modelled as a fish, length 17cm, and another example modelled as a pistol, length 23cm (3).

Book example has large slither chip to top and numerous smaller chips and three blow holes and a firing crack; the pistol is missing its flint with chipping to trigger; the fish is missing one dorsal fin, otherwise appears good with no further signs of faults, damage or restorations.

His dedicated curation saw him gather pieces from a wide range of important makers, from pioneers of the studio ceramics movement to contemporary work by some of the current generation of artists who are active today.
