A Morumachi period kaga ancient katana in shira saya with 26" blade (probably reduced), dating from the Age of Battles, a true Samurai blade in bright old polish showing a notare hamon and large grain jihada, unsigned tang, attributed via personal opinion Origami Judgement Certificate, with 19th century speckled lacquer saya, tsuba is oval iron with gilt rim to shakudo plugs and copper inlaid plants, possibly mid Edo period, tsuka is black ito wrapped with shakudo fuchi and kashira with nanako dots, inlaid with cockerels and gilt-heightened horse menuki, with various documentation.
