PORT OF LIVERPOOL; a very large late 19th century ebonised double-sided hanging station-style clock, with single fusee movement, the painted dial set with Roman numerals, inscribed 'Dwerryhouse Liverpool', diameter 62cm.

- As the first thing that people alighting the boats at Liverpool Port saw as they got to shore, this clock is an iconic piece of Liverpool maritime history.

  • This lot was originally purchased from the auction of the Principal Contents of The Mersey Docks and Harbour Company at The Port of Liverpool Building, on 23rd May 1994.
