GORDON RUSSELL FOR HEALS; a mid-20th century mahogany and Bombay rosewood 'Burford' dining room suite, comprising an extending table with single additional leaf, a set of eight dining chairs with stuff-over seats (6 + 2), and an inverse bow-front sideboard with four central drawers flanked by a pair of panelled doors, raised on octagonal supports, 86 x 183 x 50cm, the sideboard bearing original Gordon Russell label to the reverse, confirming design no. R810, dated March 1962, made by B. A. Jones and designed by W. H. Russell, FSIA (10).

- This dining room suite was purchased by the vendor's late parents from Heals in 1962.

Condition Report

• Overall solid but used condition. Unfortunately, the table top has suffered from some sun bleaching and there are various colour shades on the set of chairs. The sideboard has a light surface scratch through the centre of the top, but otherwise appears to be in overall good but used condition.


• Height of carver arms 68cm
