From the Major family estate, the vendor purchased the late Mary Gaskell's (Major) property from the family and the paintings/paint tins, paint brushes, easel, chairs and table belonging to Theodore Major, Kathleen Major and Mary Gaskell (Major). The paintings and remains from Theodore’s, Kathleen’s and Mary’s studio were stored at Mary’s property which has been subsequently sold by the Major/Gaskell family to the current vendors of the paintings where the paintings were located.
