Two Chinese porcelain Ming Dynasty baluster vases, decorated with butterflies in the Wucai palette, height 17.5cm and 16cm respectively, with hardwood covers and stands (af) (2).
Covers and stands are replaced , one example has had its neck ground down, extensive stained crazing and a chip to the body, a chip to the underside of the footrim, a firing crack/fault to the interior of the vase but does not come through the the exterior, the other example with chipping and cracks to the rim temanating into the body, minor staing in parts, glaze imperfections to the body.
