This watch belonged to Ray Reardon, one of the all time greats in the world of snooker. He was seven times World Champion in the 1970s as well as winning numerous other tournaments and was the first player to be ranked World Number One in the 1976/77 season, a position he held for the following five years. His impact on the sport is hard to comprehend and later in life he became a mentor and friend of Ronnie O'Sullivan. Accompanying the watch is a note from his wife Carol and also a photograph showing Ray wearing this watch. It was his favourite watch to wear throughout the 1970s and 80s when he was probably the most famous snooker player on the planet.
