OPERATION SEA LION; WWII German plans, military map books for the invasion of England, a Holland town plan map, and five German folded maps of the South East of England, Preston, Southport and Blackpool and a map of Blackburn, Leeds and Bradford, all taken from a German soldier in Holland during WWII by the vendor's father. Operation Sea Lion was the German code name for the planned invasion of the United Kingdom and was to take place during the Battle of Britain, nine months after the start of WWII. However, in light of mounting Luftwaffe losses in the battle and the absence of any sign that the RAF had been defeated, Hitler postponed Sea Lion indefinitely.
