A large Japanese Meiji period bronze jar and cover, the finial modelled as a kneeling figure working a loom, with textured detail to the cylindrical body, twin pierced mask handles, raised on five scrolling supports, signed to tableau to base, height 44cm.

The right arm of the finial is detached but present. The vessel has an even colour throughout, with just light surface wear. Overall the condition is good.
