PETER FEARNLEY, WIGAN; a late 18th/early 19th century mahogany eight-day longcase clock, with swan neck pediment and blind fret carved panels beneath three brass finials, above a 12" arched brass dial, the upper section set with roundel with incised decoration of a bird above silvered chapter ring bearing Roman and Arabic numerals, subsidiary seconds hand and date aperture, flanked by Corinthian columns above a crossbanded shaped door, further flanked by quarter pilasters, on stepped plinth and bracket feet, height approx. 256cm.

Appears to be in overall good condition, there are some minor losses to the varnish finish and there is a small section of crossbanding missing to the upper shaped portion on the right-hand side of the body door, further light signs of wear visible throughout, all commensurate with use and age.
