An unusual World War I memento formed of a hand grenade converted to an inkwell, now mounted on a black glaze ceramic base inscribed 'Memento of the Great War', actual hand grenade casting, as used by the Allies Regd. no.651542.1915, height 12cm.
There are a few chips where the hand grenade meets the ceramic body and some scuffs and fritting to other areas of the ceramic.
