Graeme Crosby’s 1981 Heron Suzuki XR-69
Having produced their first ever four-stroke road bike four years earlier, Suzuki came up with the GS1000 and it was this engine that formed the basis of the Suzuki XR-69, a bike which New Zealand’s Graeme Crosby took to a double victory with success in the Classic and Formula One TT races of 1981 on the Heron Suzuki GB bike. The Kiwi would take the machine to further success by landing the TT Formula One World championship title later that same year.
Footnote:A heartfelt tribute to the Isle of Man’s unrivalled motorcycling road racing heritage, the TT Legends series captures the passion, pride and nostalgia that surrounds the TT.
Each meticulously crafted model sculpture celebrates an iconic moment in TT history from the past 50 years.
Each TT Legend model is a full-sized, to-scale sculpture featuring a livery inspired by its actual counterpart and the helmet of its associated rider with its design approved and authenticated by TT officials.
These very special models will only be available to purchase at this auction.
